Balloonbikers enjoy complete comfort when other cyclists are being jolted around, because vibrations and sudden impacts on bumpy surfaces - the most typical occurrences when cycling - are cushioned best by a pneumatic tire.
In tests these impacts were reduced by around 36 percent when compared with a standard bike, while normal suspension forks remained virtually ineffective.
